  1. Personal Safety:
Before using a chainsaw, ensure personal safety. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including earplugs or earmuffs, safety goggles, gloves, protective clothing, and safety boots. These gears will protect you from noise, debris, and wood chips.

  2. Check the Chainsaw:
Before starting the operation, inspect the chainsaw. Ensure that the chainsaw is in good working condition, with a sharp and securely fastened blade, and an adequate supply of fuel and lubricating oil. Check if the brakes and other safety devices are functioning properly.

  3. Preparation:
Choose a flat, stable, and open work area, away from other people and obstacles. Clear the work area, making sure there are no debris, stones, or other obstacles. Ensure that the work area is clear of flammable materials to prevent accidental fires.

  4. Posture and Grip:
Stand to the side of the chainsaw, with your feet shoulder-width apart. Make sure your feet are stable and hold onto the chainsaw's handle. Grip the front handle with your left hand and the rear handle with your right hand. Maintain a firm grip with both hands and place your fingers on the handle, rather than wrapping them around it.

  5. Starting the Chainsaw:
Follow the chainsaw's instructions for starting it. Typically, you will need to place the chainsaw on a stable ground, with the brake in the open position, and pull the starter rope or press the start button. Once started, close the brake.

  6. Cutting Technique:
When operating the chainsaw, pay attention to the correct cutting technique. Bring the blade close to the wood you want to cut, but avoid applying excessive pressure. Use slow and steady push-pull motions for cutting, avoiding abrupt and unstable movements. Always keep the chainsaw balanced and control the cutting speed.

  7. Maintain Focus:
Maintain a high level of concentration and alertness while using the chainsaw. Pay attention to the surrounding environment, ensuring no individuals or obstacles are near the work area. Constantly be aware of the chainsaw's position and the direction of the blade's movement to avoid accidents.

  8. Maintenance:
After using the chainsaw, perform the necessary maintenance. Clean the chainsaw's blade, chain, and body to remove wood chips and dirt. Check the tension of the chain and add fuel and lubricating oil as needed. Regularly inspect the chainsaw's filters and other key components and replace or repair them as necessary.
